Thinking of having a quick getaway to Tagaytay? Why don’t you peek outside the box, forget Tagaytay for a while and check out this hidden gem in Silang, Cavite. Yes! a definite unique staycation near Tagaytay City, the Lahluna Bed and Breakfast.
Staying home for several months has never been easy, not just with frequent travelers but I can generalize it as “most people” have been wanting that quick escape to get fresh air, to relax and enjoy the destressing atmosphere.
Which is why everyone’s been hyped since the re-opening of tourism in the City of Tagaytay. If you are a keen observer in social media, most people are looking for a vacation lodge here and there. After all, Tagaytay has always been in the top list for city dwellers looking for a great staycation.
As a traveler myself, I am also enticed to look for a hotel or stay just for a quick leisure and somehow relax. However, I’ve noticed that people are flocking around Tagaytay to satisfy their vacation cravings. And so I’m determined now to look for another alternative, not until I found my few saves in airbnb that I’m not even sure when I did actually save it.
Now that’s the time I found this hidden place called the Lahluna Bed and Breakfast in Silang, Cavite which is definitely not far from Tagaytay! I am totally happy to share this bit of experience during our stay there and this might be able to convince you to either choose Lahluna or not, well of course it depends on your preference.

A short introduction for you about the vacation place of Lahluna to give you a hint of what you can expect from it. The Lahluna is this one stay literally hidden from us all, which is situated at the Brgy. Malabag, Silang, Cavite. Since this staycation is near Tagaytay, they are also blessed with a cool ambiance especially during the ber months. Thus, this makes a perfect spot to chase that cool atmosphere with less crowd.
Lahluna is a hobbiton-inspired place with an area of 2000 sqm embraced with nature and enveloped with lushes of green surroundings. And yet they also boast an eco-friendly stay for the guests as their energy consumption is mostly powered by the solar panel and wind turbine.
Recently, I just found out that one of the known beauty vlogger in the Philippines, Ms. Anna Cay also visited this place around the month of September 2020. You may opt to check out her vlog and have a sneak peek of Lahluna.

How to get to Lahluna Bed and Breakfast?
Getting to Lahluna is actually simple especially if you have your own private car, it’s location is only 1.3km away from the Aguinaldo Hi-way.
Say you have a private car, google maps recognize the Lahluna Bed and Breakfast so it will be easy as pie for you to get there. However, around 200-m before the place is a rough road and a little bit hard for a sedan car especially during rainy season.
But if you are commuting, whether you come from Manila you just need to hail a bus route to Tagaytay and drop at the Brgy. Malabag at the Gov. Camerino Drive. From there along the opening of the street is the tricycle terminal where you can have a ride to Lahluna.
Lahluna White Room Tour
During our staycation we booked one of the two largest rooms, the Lahluna White. From the name itself, the room emphasizes the color of white that gives off a definite elegant look across the whole area.

It has one bedroom which is located at the second floor styled like a balcony, it is open white glimpse of white curtain to cover the room for a little bit of privacy. The bedroom area has two double sized beds that can fit 4 persons, a cabinet, lamp and a fan.
What I actually love in this room is this little window that overlooks the greenish surroundings of Lahluna. A single bed is also provided beneath the stairs and a small wood table beside it.
Elegancy strikes the whole room with the full glass facade with touches of white and blue curtains serves as a cover inside. While a sofa bed and a full-width couch at the side makes it more comfy for 5 persons or maybe more, right? The whole room is also air-conditioned, though I find it a little less cool at the second floor but it’s still alright.

Of course, one of the things we always consider when renting a stay is the private comfort room, which you would worry less about because all Lahluna rooms have it. A complete toiletries are also provided plus a heater to get that steamy shower you’ve been wanting.
Lastly, you have a large kitchen totally complete with tools such as a stove, refrigerator, utensils, plates, water heater, even a rice cooker, and etc!
The overall room of Lahluna White is like a total package and it actually feels like you rent a whole house because of its complete amenities a home should have. As for me, the room is really worth it and I always love accents of white when it comes to home or room styling because it makes the whole area cleaner and refreshing too.
And my most favorite aspect of having this room is the view outside our room especially at night. Why? I can’t explain it but I can show you *wink*

Moving on, I’m sure you’ve been wanting to know what’s in there for me? Like what’s with Lahluna that can make you convince to stay there?
What are the amenities and food inclusion?
To be honest, there aren’t many things to do in the area but somehow it’s actually ironic because it is a staycation so it is a day for you to relax and enjoy the place. It is for a busy person like you to escape on the hustle and bustle from the city.
Now let’s talk about the view and few things you can see in Lahluna. First, is their common area for the guests to meddle on. You can also bike around the place and they are offering the bike for free.
There is also a roof deck where you can enjoy a beautiful farm view and check out how you are actually being embraced by nature with tall and beautiful trees everywhere. Take the camera with you because Lahluna is definitely picture and instagram worthy.

For the food, per night stay includes a free light breakfast. For lunch or dinner, you may choose to bring your own food or pre-order with them for P 300 per serving. Though at first I found it a little bit expensive but when servings were brought to us, guess what, we have excess foods that we even reserve the next morning together with the free breakfast.
We chose to order with them for a less hassle vacation because all I wanted was to relax and clear up some stress hanging around my mind. But no worries about bringing your own food, you definitely can and they even have a grilling area set for you if you are after for a bbq party with friends or family.
Just a little tip..
The Lahluna is practicing the CLAYGO policy, so be polite and organize as well, better clean up your area.
Kindly also turn off electric objects such as lights, aircon, and fan when not in use. Remember that Lahluna is an eco-friendly place so let’s help and save mother earth even with this little things.
Our very own experience in Lahluna
We’re coming to an end, but I would love to share with you our experience and how we actually enjoy the place through our beautiful photos.
Overall Perspective: Is staying at Lahluna worth it?
This is it, the final touches of this article is approaching, so is Lahluna worth it? My perspective and opinion: YES! Totally worth it. Besides this being my first staycation ever, I love every bit of our stay here in Lahluna. I actually regret saying that we only have one night to spent here because it is only a quick escape to relax plus it is a birthday gift to myself as well.
If you are only looking for a vacation where you can spend time with your friends and family, then Lahluna it is. I highly recommend this as well if you plan to visit some top places in Tagaytay because honestly, they are just minutes away from it but it only be worth it if you’ll stay there for a few days so you can make the most out of Tagaytay as well.
Finally, I love the idea of having a staycation that is actually not in Tagaytay, but hey, it’s near and emits the same atmosphere while the place is less crowded, and with touches of nature too. A perfect place to clear your minds up and get things ahead when you go back to the busy city and hectic schedule of work.
